Many Toastmasters Clubs find they have challenges from time to time, getting enough time on agendas for members to do their programme of speeches. Sometimes this occurs with clubs that have challenging time requirements (e.g. Morning and Lunch-time meetings), less frequent meetings (e.g. fortnightly or monthly), or large memberships.

What is a Speaker's Night? Edit

Typically the Agenda for a Speaker's Night reduces the variety of their normal club meeting, to focus on Prepared Speeches and Evaluations. Other activities such as Business Sessions and Table Topics are 'suspended' for the meeting. Clubs should be careful to ensure that important roles such as Grammarian or Um/Ah Counter, and General Evaluator are preserved to ensure all speakers benefit from the all-important feedback that these roles provide in our meetings.
